It’s worth checking out Rob Hindle’s excellent blog if you get the chance. He regularly updates his site with thoughtful pieces on writing poetry, creativity, and wider aspects of the arts. He has a ‘guest poet’ slot as well that is certainly worth reading. You can find his own poetry on the site as well.
I thought I should flag up the latest pamphlet collection from Longbarrow Press featuring work by Peter Riley, one of Britain’s finest poets. It is – as Brian Lewis the founder of the publishing house says – ‘neither poems nor prose’, concise meditations on place and society.
You can read ‘Wetton Will New Year’s Eve 1974-75’ from XIV pieces at Longbarrow Press’s Featured Poem site and listen to Riley reading ‘Middleton by Wirksworth 1980’ by clicking on this Soundcloud destination.
To order the pamphlet and CD at the special price of £8.50, please go to http://longbarrowpress.com/current-publications/peter-riley/. Prices are inclusive of UK postage and packaging (see website for EU and RoW postage options).
