Down Back
At the End of the Road, a River
By Chris Jones
Sky floods the river
as ashes shiver ripples
their leaves slow water
At the start of a recent reading of the
poems, this Haiku was projected,
word by word as a mirror image, onto
a factory at the back of the 'Gardeners'
pub in Neepsend. The words then emerged
from their reflections in the River Don.
